Batangas

I have heard from a friend of mine about this old but beautiful church in Batangas.
They say that couples who visit this church usually end up together. I am not sure if that's true or not, so I asked my boyfriend if we could go there and see if it's really true.

Many couples want to get married in this church, so if you also want to be one of them, you really need to do it in advance. I would also love to get married in this very beautiful church in Batulao.

We went there last December 2012, but I cannot help but to share our visit to Caleruega church.
The sunset made the church more beautiful.
To get there, you may take a bus from Pasay going to Nasugbu and drop off to Evercrest Golf Club then take a tricycle to Caleruega church. The wind was freezing cold on our way to the church.

When we arrived there, I was surprised because I never expected that there would still be a lot of people at that time.
At the entrance.
You need to pay Php30 for the entrance fee, then you will be given a brochure about Caleruega church.

We just followed the other people who were there, and they brought us in this building that looks like a church too.
Visitors are allowed to go inside and take pictures.
Since it was already December, the place was fully decorated. There were angels along the stairway and a manger without baby Jesus (of course, it wasn't Christmas yet).

Old photographs..
We just followed the pathway and again, I was surprised to see how huge the are is.
You may sit here and watch the sunset.
There is this mother and child statue which caught my attention.

I really love seeing the sunset and this is the first time I saw it here in Mount Batulao.
They said it's Mount Batulao

Lovely..
When we reached the church, they were preparing for a wedding, so we took that chance to take pictures of the church. It is just a small church and I think it is good if you want your marriage to be a more private one. :)

If you are planning to go to Tagaytay, I strongly suggest you to visit this church.
